Which Comes First? Many people wonder which comes first. Do goals create opportunities? Or do opportunities create goals? At first glance, the answer seems difficult. Sometimes an unexpected opportunity changes the direction of our lives. A chance meeting introduces us to a lifelong friend. A new job reveals talents we never knew we had. A single conversation inspires an entirely new career. Life is full of moments that open doors we never expected to find. Yet the opposite is also true. Many opportunities appear only because someone first chose a meaningful goal and worked steadily toward it. So perhaps the more helpful question is not which comes first. Perhaps the better question is: "Which approach gives me the power to move forward today?"
